Google says Pixel 10 Pro Fold battery confusion caused by ‘incompatible’ chargers (Update)
TL;DR
  • Several reports have surfaced of Pixel 10 Pro Fold phones failing to report battery status, instead showing a ? icon.
  • Google says the issue is caused by using “incompatible” wireless chargers.
  • A reboot should fix the issue, Google says. It’s recommended Pixel 10 owners use certified Qi2 wireless chargers.

Update, October 24, 2025 (11:58 AM ET): A Google spokesperson tells Android Authority that this issue is “caused by using an incompatible wireless charger,” and that a reboot will typically fix it. The spokesperson also said that this behavior will be fixed in an update rolling out next month. Google recommends using certified Qi2 wireless chargers with its phones. If you’re still seeing a question mark next to your battery indicator after rebooting your phone, contact Google support.
